Q. What kind of computer system do I need to operate the E-DT FleetLog FuelLog systems?
A. It depends upon the size of your organization and the IT infrastructure you are currently using. If you fleet organization is relatively small, a PC will be sufficient for housing the data. Larger organizations may require an SQL server. The system will run on any windows OS including SQL Depending upon your internal information sharing needs, E-DT can also develop secure Intranet and Web applications.
Q. In what cities does the FleetLog system work?
A. The FleetLog system works in any city in the United States. How often you are able to receive data from your vehicles depends upon the data access transmission option you choose. If you choose the FleetLog 01 or 02 systems, data is automatically transmitted to the assigned headquarters PCs once the vehicle, which is equipped with a Radio Frequency (RF) modem, comes within the 150 yard range of the RF receiving antennae.
Q. How many vehicles can be tracked at one time?
A. As many as you wish. Some of our largest customers have over 1,000 vehicles on their systems.
